Up for sale, a 2009 Epiphone 'Inspired by' John Lennon Casino in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Featuring USA-made Gibson P-90s and a gloss Sunburst finish, this Casino certainly looks and sounds the part. This model combines the open, airy qualities and fullness of the hollow maple body construction with the attack and snap of that particular tone wood and the rich, cutting tonalities of a P-90. Glassy, articulate howl and percussive chime are at your fingertips, and the Gibson P-90s are a notable addition not found on lesser Casino models. The guitar is featherweight at 6lbs 5oz and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with flatwound 11-50 strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.
The one-piece mahogany neck has a medium C shape with generous shoulder, tapering fuller up the neck with a particularly round feel, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and 1.020" at the 12th. On the bound rosewood fretboard, the original medium jumbo frets have good meat and their full factory height, showing just a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-5. The scale length measures 24 3/4" and the nut is synthetic bone measuring 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features original Kluson-style tuning machines along with the John Lennon portrait illustration and signature.
The electronics all work as intended, and the nickel hardware is notably clean, with just a touch of patina on the bass-side edges of the pickup covers and tailpiece. The gloss Sunburst finish shows only light scuffing across the guitar and a couple exceedingly faint finish scratches on the back. The neck profile is flawless.
The original black tolex hardshell case branded "Epiphone" on the exterior is included.
