Elcom EQ24 Passive Precision EQ in Lunch Box. With Marinair / St. Ives Transformers as used by Neve

  Elcom Passive Equaliser / Refurbished by Raw State 

British built Passive EQ with active discrete silicon transistor gain stages.

The unit is built with very high quality components including Elma rotary switches, close tolerance resistors, and film caps. The output stage is Class A driving a balancing transformer. 

The EQ is passive circuitry based upon the classic R- C- L components ( resistors, capacitors, inductors ).  

Inputs and Outputs are balanced with Marinair transformers

Input    TX: Marinair / St. Ives T1443  L10368S as also used by Neve

Output TX: Marinair T1501 

Units have had all electrolytic caps replaced with BC / Vishay types.

Switches ultrasonically bathed and lubed. Edge connectors cleaned and lubed

The Elcom module is easily removed for service etc., with the module sliding in on rails and plugging into the back-plane connectors. 

The lunch box houses input and output transformers and the ‘Raw Funk’ power supply.

All audio connections are balanced XLR 

Mains Power:  

Internally the low field mains toroidal transformer can be set to 110/ 240 Volts. Please advise the voltage you need

Mid Band EQ Switched at 1.4 - 2.8 - 4.0 - 5.6 kHz

Fixed Lf EQ centered at 50 Hz

Max. Boost and Cut approx. 12 dB Switched in 3 dB steps. 

Maximum level into 10K better than +22 dB @ 1 kHz

Noise (Eq controls flat) better than -82 dB WTD (<10 - IEC - A) 

Input Impedance very flat / approx: 7.5K between 100 Hz and 10 kHz
