If you love the music of Jazz icons like Attila Zoller, you will know this instrument from many photos; Jimmy Raney, Peter Leitch, Doug Raney etc. also played this Hofner guitars.

The Hofner A.Z. Standard has an Attila Zoller pickup, made by Shadow. The body is 16 Inch wide and 3 inch deep. 

In difference to the Framus AZ-10 this one has a round Cutaway, a very individual headstock design, solid spruce top, maple back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and a carved pickguard.

Aruss-Rod works, the frets have minimal traces, but they still have enough meat for years. No buzz, hiss or hazzle. Frets are polished, Fingerboard is clean and oiled. Great action! The Hofner A.Z. Standard is strung with .012er Flatwounds from Thomastik. Great warm jazz sound with a characteristic amount of acoustic overtones! Pickup, Controls etc. work.

This brown sunburst AZ Standard was, beside the AZ Award, the top model of Hofners Attila Zoller line. Take a look at the Zoller-Logo on the headstock and the shadow pickup. This is one of the best designed Archtop guitars made in germany, and truly one of the rarest and maybe unique in this condition. The few cracks you see on the photos are just in the finish, the would is not affected in any way. The photos are part of the description.
