Soldano X88R - 1989 - Serviced

Up for grabs is a 1989 X88R that was (about a year ago) completely serviced by Mike Soldano. He told me that this unit is now good to go for another 20 years!
Soldano X88-R Three Channel Preamp -OUT OF Production- Soldano X88-R three channel tube preamplifier. Currently out of production, Originally priced at $1,800.00, it was soon changed to $ 2,600.00. The FIRST Three channel preamp on the scene, it was conceived by Bob Bradshaw and built by Michael J. Soldano to replace Fender, Marshall and Boogie amplifiers in order to minimize freight weight. This preamp is designed for players with more elaborate rack systems and was/is the centerpiece of thousands of top players' racks.

Features: - Three separate channels, Clean, Crunch and Overdrive. - Preamp Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass and Output Volume controls for each channel. - Unusually, all channels feature Bright switches (normally found only on the clean channel). - Channel switching is accessed via three 1/4" footswitch jacks. - Occupies 2U rack space - All tube (6) 12AX7A - Hand built in the USA using the finest components available. - The overdrive channel is the same as the world renowned SLO-100.
