The Novation Launchpad S was the first improvement on the original Launchpad. It took the iconic 64 pad grid and added brighter lights with improved construction and rubber pads on the bottom. It features the same great workflow, allowing clip launching, mixing and melodic or rhythmic playing modes right out of the box, with excellent Ableton Live integration. It has been supplanted by the mkII version of the Launchpad, as well as Pro and Mini models, but for producers seeking a rock solid grid controller at an affordable price, the Launchpad S is a great choice.
