About this listing
-YOU ARE VIEWING PHOTOS OF THE ACTUAL GUITAR BEING SOLD!
This used 6.4 lb Gibson will ship insured, fully set up, and inspected from Rapid City, SD. This guitar is in very good condition, with the kind of naturally obtained cosmetic wear and tear you'd expect from a well-loved instrument of this vintage: Various nicks and scratches along the front and back of the body, a few very small dings on the top of the headstock, yellowing on the nut, and scratching on the knobs' silver inserts. This SG sounds fanstastic and feels great in the hands. The accompanying chipboard case has also seen a lot of use in its day, resulting in a decent amount of wear, including a missing latch.

The Gibson SG Junior has long been celebrated as one of the purest expressions of electric guitar design: a lightweight slab of mahogany, a single snarling P-90 pickup, and nothing standing between the player and the music. By 1969, the SG Junior had evolved from its early-'60s origins while retaining the stripped-down philosophy that made it a favorite among rock, blues, garage, and proto-punk players. This vintage guitar, available now at Haggerty’s Music, captures that era perfectly, offering authentic late-'60s Gibson tone, feel, and character in a guitar that has spent more than five decades making music.
The heart of this SG Junior is its original Gibson P-90 bridge pickup, a legendary design known for delivering the perfect balance between single-coil clarity and humbucker-like aggression. Clean tones are articulate and dynamic, while overdriven sounds produce the raw growl, harmonic richness, and touch-sensitive response that helped define countless classic recordings. The lightweight mahogany body contributes exceptional resonance and sustain, while the factory Vibrola tailpiece adds a touch of vintage visual flair and expressive vibrato capability that was popular during the late 1960s.
With its slim SG body contours, comfortable double-cutaway design, and well-played vintage feel, this 1969 SG Junior remains an inspiring instrument for collectors and players alike. Whether you're searching for a vintage touring workhorse, a studio tool with undeniable character, or a piece of Gibson history, this SG Junior delivers the unmistakable voice and vibe that have made the model a legend for generations.
