Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It wasn't until 1967 that Gibson resumed production of the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). This Pro model has a noticeably smaller body than other Flying V models, and also features binding around the fretboard and body. It's equipped with a Classic 57 in the neck position and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. Some of the hardware has been replaced: potentiometer knobs, pickup surrounds, truss rod cover, etc. In very good condition.More pix and details upon request. Shipping worldwide available.

The Flying V began following yearly model revisions in 2016, along with the rest of Gibson's product line. The Flying V Pro T was replaced with the Flying V T in 2017, which switched to a design closer to that seen on the Flying V '67 from the '90s and 2000s.
