About this listing
An extremely rare find ! This piece of craftsmanship is truly exceptional - it is really lightweight (just a little over 5kg). The aging is very subtle, the line on the back of the 12-string headstock is purely cosmetic, no breaks, no issues at all. And the sound, man, incredible - the resonance in this guitar is astronomical. Ofcourse we prefer local pickup for this guitar, but make sure to contact us for an exact price quote on the shipping. This is what the add said : Slash's rise to rock royalty featured a variety of iconic Gibson models, but it was the 1966 EDS-1275 Doubleneck that both diversified his sound and solidified his guitar-god aesthetic. He bought it from a small music store in Indiana in 1990 and put it into rotation almost immediately. Using the natural chime and chorus of the twelve-string neck and composing epic solos on the other, it became a favorite tool for studio and stage and an indelible part of Slash's sound. Gibson is proud to present this exacting replica of the original guitar, constructed and aged by the skilled craftspeople of the Custom Shop in Nashville, TN. Only 125 models will be sold worldwide, each hand-signed and numbered by Slash himself. Each will include a vintage replica hardshell case, a custom Slash concho guitar strap and a Certificate of Authenticity.SLASH 1966 EDS-1275 DOUBLENECK - SIGNED/AGED SPECIFICATIONSBODYBody Material : 1-Piece Solid Lightweight MahoganyWeight Relief : NoneFinish : Nitrocellulose Lacquer (Aged)NECKNeck Material : Solid MahoganyNeck Profile : Authentic '66 Medium C-ShapeScale Length : 24.75" / 62.865cmFingerboard Material : Indian RosewoodFingerboard Radius : 12" / 304.8mmNumber of Frets : 20 Frets : Authentic Medium-JumboNut Material : CorianNut Width : 1.687" / 42.85mmEnd-of-Board Width : 2.24" / 56.89mmInlays : Celluloid Split ParallelogramHARDWAREFinish : Chrome - AgedTailpiece : Aged Chrome - 12 String, Aged Nickel - 6 StringTuners : Double Line, Metal TulipPick Guard : Black 5-PlyTruss Rod Cover : Authentic Custom Hot StampControl Knobs : Black Top Hats w/ Silver InsertsSwitch Tip : CreamELECTRONICSNeck Pickup : Custombucker Alnico IIIBridge Pickup : Custombucker Alnico IIIControls : Switchcraft Toggle SwitchMISCELLANEOUSStrings 6 String - .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, .046; Strings 12 String - .010, .014, .024, .009, .030, .012, .040, .018, .048, .0.28Case : 1275
