The Novation Supernova II is a virtual analog synthesizer released in 2000, built around Novation's Analogue Sound Modelling (ASM) technology. Each voice draws on three oscillators — offering saw, square, variable-width pulse, and noise waveforms — alongside two LFOs, FM synthesis, and ring modulation. The filter section covers 12dB, 18dB, and 24dB slopes in low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass configurations, with resonance and overdrive on tap. A 42-band vocoder is built in, and the effects engine delivers 57 simultaneous effects across its 8-part multitimbral architecture. Audio connectivity is substantial: eight outputs (four stereo pairs), two assignable audio inputs, and MIDI In/Out/Thru, with an optional digital I/O board for S/PDIF and ADAT. Onboard memory holds 1,024 program patches and 512 performance slots, and up to eight independent arpeggiators can run simultaneously — making this a deeply capable instrument for layered, complex sound design.
A great opportunity to own a Novation Supernova II at this price point.
