A near mint Aiwa AD-1600 High End 2 Head Stereo Cassette Recorder from 1976. The golden age for Aiwa, quality build deck this is.

Not a single scratch on the body, wood in near perfect condition, the clear dust cover has some small very faint scuffs but the machine almost looks like new out of the box.

Plays/records/winds beautiful after changing all rubber parts. New tire for pick up reel, new tire for supply reel, new tire for idler wheel, new belt set, new pinch roller.

Mechanics all moving parts relubed, oiled. Works like a clock again with the AC hysteresis synchronous motor.

Ofcourse recalibrated, cleaned and demaged the heads and tape path.

Has auto tape dectection for CrO2 cassettes.

All lights function in cassette compartment, counter light, tape running light, VU meters and all indicator lights.

Great change to get your hands on this rare near mint deck from the 70's.
