The snare is from the 2nd generation from 1991 to 1994.
It has the more comfortable, more compact snare-action and the beautiful round lug posts.
The 14“ x 8” brass shell is no longer available from Pearl. incidentally. Just like the extended snare wires, which extends beyond the edge of the shell and is guided exactly through the deflection rods in a recess.
The snare is in exceptionally good condition. No damage or signs of use worth mentioning. A rarity at this age.
Only the upper hoop has minimal “pitting” and the shell has 1-2 minor scratches. On closer inspection, there is a slightly darker “cloud” on the surface of the shell. This has been there from the start. Everything is original, the shell has not been polished. The protective lacquer is the factory lacquer.
