Premier Marching or Concert Bass Drum

Premier marching bass drum, that can also be used for small concerts. The instrument is from 1988 and its serial number is 008694.

Excellent quality bass drum, with a fine and robust construction, which is rarer nowadays. However, it’s clearly not in a very good condition.

During its life the instrument was probably not been taken care properly, and as a consequence it needs a setup and repair (never did any of those) so that can it can be restored to a good playing condition.

The drum heads are still the original ones that came with this bass drum. The wood hoop is cracked and/or worn out in several places. Various signs of usage and scratches are visible as the instrument already has a considerable age, which is relatively normal, mainly due to the lack of good care the it has experienced.

So, this bass drum needs a full setup and repair, so that it can be restored to its best shape and quality.

In truth, the instrument is ready to played already, but without a setup; its tuning, balance and tone will be miles away from what it could really sound like. That would really be a shame, taking into account the potential quality of this bass drum.

The instrument is being sold with the bag, which is its original one.
