The Helix is probably my favourite line of guitar processors due to the large amount of provided amps, and effects, in-depth signal routing options, versatile I/O and many other power-user features that make this device a seriously versatile piece of kit. As of September 2024 it is still being regularly updated with new models, and will still rival more expensive units offered by Kemper, Axe FX, and Neural DSP.

It features two signal processors unlike the smaller Stomp variants, and has enough juice to process four separate instruments in real time, making it an effective replacement for your band's entire rig. If that sounds too drastic, how about using it as an effects platform for your existing amp setup? Or the most convincing redundancy solution for your gigs? Or maybe an audio interface with high quality buffered inputs? Or how about the best studio re-amping rig you've ever used?

As a novice engineer, the Helix helped me identify my dream tone and its components through testing, patching and playing. Going through this process with physical amps and pedals would have cost way more money than the cost of this unit. Ultimately, it did its job, which is also the reason I've decided to sell it. I've simply found the tone that I want, and will be using the money from this sale to replicate it using a genuine amp head and cabinet.
