DOUBLE PEDAL FOR BASS DRUM

An industry standard gets even better. DW Drums redesigned the pedal that established its reputation for innovation and quality. Innovation is part of DW Drums' DNA, and it was time for some major improvements. In particular, the attack on the case. The DW 5000 needed more grip strength, providing a tighter connection between drummer and bass drum. Then, the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp was developed. Three independent rubber pads, rotating 360 degrees, securely attach to case rims of any diameter and thickness with zero slippage. Added to this is a rubber pad with a new texture on the base of the plate. Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to improve the smoothness and feel of the DW 5000, if that was still possible. To do this, a Dual Bearing Spring Rocker was added, i.e. a spring attachment system that makes the DW 5000 faster and more responsive than ever. The Accelerator AD4 drive system offers eccentric motion that creates an indirect relationship between the pinion and the footplate, increasing speed with a reduction in travel.
