TOMBO UKULET VINTAGE 60's JAPAN ELECTRIC UKULELE WHITE W/CASE/AMP
super rare and unique find, a must have for any true fan of the ukulele or strange unique instruments.
The Ukulet was created by the Tombo Musical Instrument Company of Japan. Established in 1917
The handy case, which has some surprising hidden compartments (mine is a bit warn as you’ll see in the photos) also doubles as a portable amp that can be powered by either batteries or AC. Pumping out about 4 watts, the amp sounds like an old transistor radio on steroids.
These Ukulets are exceedingly rare and were primarily sold in Japan. The scale length is approximately 17.5" and the whole instrument measures around 26".
It’s quite cute to say the least!
