Rare Audio Technica AT-37E low-output MC cartridge

This is a very rare Audio Technica AT-37E MC cartridge. This cartridge only second to, and is exactly the same specification as the Top-of-the-line legendary Audio Technica AT-1000 cartridge (please don’t mistaken AT-1000 with the newer ART-1000 model). The only difference is AT-37E uses sapphire cantilever and cost less (about 68,000 Yen), and AT-1000 uses diamond cantilever (which explained the extremely high price 200,000 Yen, far expensive than any Ortofon, Koetsu, Denon, EMT etc at the time).

The cartridge is in excellent working condition with original ruby cantilever, diamond tip is very sharp. The ruby cantilever is made in hollow taper tube shape with very advanced technology and not available anywhere in modern cartridges (similar to the Accuphase AC-2 which I’m selling in the other listing). The body has some rusts and dirts (please see pictures), but it does not affect the sonic performance. The cartridge has the Audio Technica box which is shown in the last picture. Headshell in the picture is not included. 

 It has a very excellent sound, detailed, charming yet balanced. Simply a legendary vintage cartridge made by Audio Technica in their heyday, which is far better than today cartridges they have.
