King Marigaux soprano saxophone manufactured by SML in Paris, France. Serial number 23793.
These saxophones are pro-level instruments. King contracted with the Strasser Marigaux and Lemair manufacturing in Paris to supply a pro level saxophone to round out its product line. SML used its Gold Medal series saxophones as the basis for these King offerings. These saxes competed directly with the Selmers of the era.
The SML instruments have a very solid feel and play with great intensity. The tenors are by far, the loudest saxophones that I have ever played.
This soprano is in good playing condition on older pads. It plays well top to bottom. There are no visible scratches or repairs. Comes with a very good King carry case. No other accessories are offered.
