1920s Gibson MB-3 Mandolin Banjo .
I thnk it is a MB-3 model as it does not have the trap door and has the more ornate inlays on the neck.
The serial number is 8544-6 which from what I can gather dates it to 1926.
This one has the maple back which looks to have been stripped and refinished.
Very resonant instrument with a good playable action but as with all instrument I would recommend that it should be setup to your own specifications.
Comes with what looks like its original Gibson hard case.
