Carbon fibre violins. Why?

This material is almost 3 times as strong as steel but is 4.5 times less dense meaning it is the best option when low weight and flexibility are needed in a material that has to stand important stress. Recently it has been discovered a side effect of the internal structure of carbon fiber. We are talking about its excellent acoustic properties.
We all love wood instruments but wood is extremely variable and it will expand and contract easily under different temperature and humidity. Bu comparison, carbon fibre is far more predictable. 
The fact that is is also so strong is a blessing as you can travel the world with your instrument and not really worry about it being easily damaged. Also its acoustic properties will be far more predictable so you know you can expect the same great sound regardless of the weather condition. 

Qarbonia instruments are made from moulds with preselected measurements but the assembly and set up is all made by the hands of their qualified luthiers following the same principles as on traditional wooden instruments. You can think of them as 21st century lutherie. 

BARITONE:
 
This is the BARITONE model, meaning it is tuned 1 octave bellow concert pitch. This is achieved using Sensicore Octave strings by Supersensitive. The sound is deep and powerful. You can expect a huge bump in inspiration from this violin. Suddenly all your tunes, grooves and licks sound different. It is simply amazing. Of course, should you want to use it as a regular violin, all you have to do is use regular strings and you are good to go.
We love the new Wittner ultra precise tuners. They look traditional but inside they are completely new. They actually work like a regular classical or electric guitar tuner. They really are a blessing.
