About this listing
The hoop has been replaced, making it an affordable option. Serial No. 382417, an Acrolite from around the mid-1960s. The top hoop appears to have been replaced with a die-cast hoop (made by Tama). Additionally, the snare wire has been replaced with a P-85. The Acrolite has reigned as Radickfs flagship snare drum for over 60 years. The bright, lively sound produced by its seamless aluminum shell has captivated countless drummers, making it a classic among metal snares. This particular drum has been fitted with die-cast hoops, giving it a sound with enhanced volume and attack. Overall, it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, and the inner mute has been removed. While the shell has some minor dents, scratches, and pitting on the parts?indicating it has been well-used over the years?the sound is excellent. The die-cast hoops add a unique accent to the sound. It is still in good enough condition to be used.
