The API 500-8B is an eight-slot 500 Series frame with external power supply and handy toggle switches for channel linking. DB25 connectors on the rear allow for easy connection to a wealth of multichannel interfaces and modern patch bays that use those connectors. Each slot has up to 250mA of current available, plenty for all VPR-approved modules by API and other manufacturers. Leave it in its stock "Lunchbox" state, or grab the optional rack kit to get it permanently installed with the rest of your outboard gear.
