Two channel vari mu tube compressor built by famed producer/engineer Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Slash, Good Charlotte, and a long list of others). If you know the Fairchild 670, you know why this thing exists. Its a painstaking recreation of that legendary circuit, the same silky vari mu tone thats been on countless classic records, but built to be more reliable and way more flexible than a real vintage 670.

The core is true to the original with two transformers and four paralleled vari mu tubes, so you get that natural, program dependent compression that can go from gentle glue to big and explosive. Where it pulls ahead of the original is the feature set. It has six original preset time constants plus four variable ones, switchable feedback and feedforward, built in sidechain, mid side processing, adjustable DC threshold, left/right balance, and true bypass. Valentine also tweaked the circuit to extend tube life so you're not babysitting it like a vintage unit.
