Good condition, 6/10, Made in Japan, no case, tortoise guard (a SOUNDSATION SP-3BT, pickguard sold in Sweden by Crafton and the pickguard is also Made in Japan, current price is 225SEK/about 25USD), very pretty flames in the headstock and neck maple, chrome tuners, one pot is a CTS 1377451 pot (week 51 of 1974), the other is a Japanese pot, 5-way switch, one large ding in the top and a pretty beat up body with some large chips in the finish (for example on the lower horn), worn frets, the neck is pencil dated 10/4/90 even though the serial number indicates 1987-1988 but how can one be sure with these things? We will call it a 1990 due to the writing on the neck, slab rosewood fingerboard, also there is a stamp in the neck pocket which is hard to read but we think it says Jan 22 1990 so that settles that debate, HSS configuartion with a Seymour Duncan TBPG1BB humbucker in the bridge (Trembucker Pearly Gates Bridge Humbucker, costs 1539SEK/about 160USD brand new) and as it is a swimming pool route from the factory that works fine without modifications, please note that we don´t really trust the guitardaterproject.com info on this guitar but we put it here anyway because we know everyone will search for the serial and get this info:
Your guitar was made at the
Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan
in 1987 - 1988
