The DS Custom Aurora is a boutique recreation of the revered Clark Gainster and Pedalworx Hoochee Mama circuits — celebrated for their transparent, amp-like drive and dynamic response. Designed for players who want their overdrive to enhance rather than mask their tone, the Aurora delivers touch-sensitive grit, harmonic richness, and vintage-style character in a modern, road-ready build.

To expand its tonal palette, the Aurora adds a Clipping Toggle Switch with two distinct modes:

• Si Setting – classic silicon diode clipping for smooth, articulate overdrive with tight response.
• Ge Setting – a hybrid of silicon diodes and NOS Soviet Germanium diode, blending clarity with added warmth, sag, and harmonic complexity.

This dual-voicing design makes the Aurora equally at home as an always-on foundation for your tone or as a dynamic drive that can push your amp into rich, musical breakup.

Features:

• Inspired by the Clark Gainster / Hoochee Mama overdrives
• Clipping toggle with:
• • Si mode – tight, articulate silicon clipping
  • Ge mode – hybrid silicon + NOS Soviet Germanium diode for warmth and richness
• Exceptionally touch-sensitive, amp-like response
• Ideal for low-to-mid gain drive and tone enhancement
• True bypass switching
• Hand-built boutique-quality construction

The DS Custom Aurora takes the Gainster/Hoochee Mama lineage and expands it with versatile clipping options, giving you two flavors of dynamic, amp-like overdrive in one pedal.
