The Martin D28 is the Dreadnought that sets the benchmark for all other Dreadnoughts. Professional musicians choose the Martin D28 for its powerful bass response, high volume and impressive dynamics. The dreadnought body produces a beautifully balanced tone, with the powerful bass ensuring that almost everyone loves these guitars.

In 2009, the 14-fret D28 as we still know it today celebrated its 75th anniversary, and to celebrate this memorable occasion, Martin released a limited series of D28s with beautiful specifications. This D28 was built in 2010 and is number 126 in this series, and the guitar still looks beautiful after almost 15 years. With a body made of Madagascar rosewood, this guitar is not only visually beautiful, the sound is also great! Madagascar rosewood comes very close to the renowned Brazilian rosewood in terms of appearance and sound, and together with the Adirondack spruce top, makes this D28 an absolute top instrument.

In terms of appearance, this D28 has an ivoroid binding with classic herringbone purfling, with a tortoise pickguard. The guitar is also equipped with an ebony bridge with long saddle, with a forward shifted scalloped X-bracing under the top. The mahogany neck has a V-profile and is easy to play.

The guitar has light playwear on the pickguard and the back of the body. There are also hairlines in the lacquer along the entire length of the top; running from the corners of the bridge, at the neck joint and at the binding near the armrest. However, the guitar is otherwise very clean and comes with TFOA passport in the original TKL hardshell case.
