LELL DR-9 - Soviet vintage drummachine • PCM Samples • Midi • Similar Casio RZ-1

First of all, I would like to say that my Soviet analog gear listings are completely different from many available here. The main difference is that you won't receive an unchecked, dusty unit from an old Russian garage :)

I am an analog expert and sell units from my extensive personal collection. ALL units are serviced and sometimes modified before being listed for sale.

This is a very interesting unit, somewhat like a classic drum machine, but at the same time, different from Western models. It features 16 sample waveforms, from which 48 drum instruments are created. Besides the classic drum sounds, there are also orchestra hits and a dist guitar sample.

This is LELL flagship model, there also was smaller options drummachines as LELL PSR and LELL-DR-8.

There are real-time and step recording options, but to be honest, understanding how it operates may require some enjoyable time spent with it. I also have a scanned Russian manual in JPG format, where all the operations are described, but translating it can be time-consuming. In my opinion, the best way to use it is as a sound module with unique sounds, utilizing MIDI for more controlled playback, or playing it in a live from using the built-in pads. It has MIDI in/out capabilities, and despite being an early '90s unit, MIDI functionality is quite fast. To my ears, the samples are somewhat similar to the Casio RZ-1.
