Kay K-1B, solid (laminated) wood body bass guitar in a cherry finish.
These were manufactured in JAPAN between 1965-1972. It features a double cutaway body like a Gibson EB-0, has a 31.5" scale, bolt-on neck, single pick-up, and weighs in at a comfortable 5 lbs. 8 oz. .
This bass is fully functional but in dire need of attention, thus the low asking price. Needs a full set up including new strings, neck adjustment with possible tilting (shimming) of neck to make it more playable, as the action is way too high in the current state. Truss rod seems to work fine for adjustments on the way.
The bridge cover is missing, as you can see, as is the upper strap pin. The volume and tone knobs are new replacements close to original. Other than that I believe all parts to be original.
It comes as shown, will be packaged well to reach you in condition as shown. Sells as is, described and shown.
