You are viewing a Vintage 1959 Blonder Tongue Audio Baton Equalizer. You'd be hard-pressed to find another one in this nice of shape. As Rare and Obscure as it comes.
I initially learned about this unit because my friend and Recording Engineer Jack Endino out of Seattle, WA has one in his Soundhouse Recording studios up there. Upon purchasing it I had a good amount of work put into it by my technician, tubes changed, clean bill of health, the whole bit, and of course we did what I like to call the “Jack Endino” upgrade to it, though Jack would probably say it’s less of an upgrade and more or less just necessary refinements to make it work like it was intended to. If you would like a link to what Jack says about it, feel free to message me and I’ll send you one.
Later on, I found out the band “The Swirlies”made a record back in 1993, and it was entitled after this very same equaliser, to which of course this equaliser was used extensively on.
I initially purchased it with of course the intention of using it, but unfortunately never did as my recording studio plans have taken on a different course. My loss is someone else’s gain.
