For sale here is a 1984 Fender (Japan) P-J Bass, model PJ-555. This is an early transitional version of the ‘80s MIJ P-J, just after the Squier Contemporary but before the Jazz Bass Special.
It has alder body and maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, scale 34″. Shape and width of the neck is closer to the Jazz Bass. As you can see – black hardware and neck.
There are two P+J alnico pickups on board with huge magnets and coils. Electronics: 2xVol, TBX tone and pickups selector.
The slim-profile neck (1.5" nut width) is straight and the truss rod works fine.
