What a beauty!

I bought this in a right state a couple of years ago and set to work getting it restored to something near its former glory (see photo of the guitar in its original state).

Fresh poly respray in Old English White. Neck has been refretted and resprayed too. There were holes in the headstock that have been filled as shown. A couple of the ones on the rear are still slightly pitted.

All the electronics have been thoroughly sorted. All the effects work BETTER than when the guitar was new. "But how?"you say...
Well....

Unlike the US/Italian models, you could never play the UK ones just through the pickups. The signal was either through the electonics or the guitar was off.

This problem is now sorted with a DPDT push pull switch in place of the DPST original. This now allows the guitar to be played as a normal guitar in the push position and through the effects in the pull position.

The fuzz transistor in the originals was mis-biased so the fuzz was always low in volume and sounded like a broken amp. When properly biased, it's basically a Fuzz Face. That's what you have here with no volume drop.

The repeater circuit always dropped volume when engaged. Not any more!
