We are excited to introduce everyone to a project that I have been working on for the past couple of years.  My goal was to build a set of guitars inspired by John Mayer's 'Rosie' Strat, to the highest standards possible.  I had the Fender Custom Shop create a Masterbuilt Rosewood 1968 Strat that recreated the specifications of the JM Signature Strat (neck profile, fret size, etc) and the specifications of his 'Rosie' Strat. 

I commissioned Pamelina (the same artist that created the famous Monterey Pop Strat, Playboy Strat, and countless other Fender Custom Shop paint designs) to create 10 pickguards hand painted in the style of Mayer's 'Rosie' pickguard.  The result is 10 guitars that are of the highest quality possible, Masterbuilt, custom painted interpretations of John Mayer's 'Rosie' Strat.  This has been a labor of love for me over the past few years (took over 2.5 years for the Masterbuilt Rosewood Strats to be built and have been in talks with Pamelina for nearly a year). 

Only 10 of these exist and each one is labeled 1-10 on the underside of the pickguard.  This particular strat is number 6/10.

Recently, John Mayer has made this all Rosewood strat very popular, using this affectionately named "Rosie" Strat in his Queens of California music video and in live performances. If you have been waiting for a masterbuilt rosewood strat, here is your chance! These things are rare.

We have already sold the first 4 out of 10 of these guitars.  We currently have 4 available and will list each one individually.  Each grain pattern is a bit different and each hand painted pickguard is a bit different.

Please note that this guitar is not a sanctioned Fender Custom Shop 'Rosie' guitar.  This guitar is a custom spec'd Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Rosewood Stratocaster and I had Pamelina hand paint 10 Rose pickguards for me.  I think the guitars turned out fantastic!
