Some hippie took his 70s trip along to the 80s, resulting in transforming this very rare all silver lp standard into rad folk art, oh and did I mention: she still plays and sounds LIKE HEAVEN (though one vol pot is scratchy) and is autographed on the back by Les Paul himself. Great to rock like it is or restore as there are no routing nor repairs, pots are original, original tim shaw in the neck, bridge pup is newer.
In late 1960, Gibson replaced the Les Paul body shape with the SG design. Between 1972 and 1975, if someone ordered as a Les Paul Deluxe with regular humbuckers instead of mini-humbuckers, the guitar would have the word "Standard" on the truss rod cover and would essentially be a Les Paul Standard. Gibson began producing the Les Paul Standard again as a regular catalog item in 1976.
Years of Production: 1952 - 1960, 1972 - 1975 (as Les Paul Deluxe), 1976 - present
Body Style: Single cutaway solidbody
Wood Composition: Mahogany body, Maple top, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard
Design Elements: Two humbucker pickups, trapezoid inlays, four control knobs, three-way pickup selector, white pickguard, bound fingerboard, stopbar tailpiece and Tune-o-matic bridge
Notable Les Paul Players: Jimmy Page, Slash, Neil Young, Alex Lifeson, Pete Townshend
Very good playing condition, labelled as fair because of the paint and the one scratchy pot.
