Teisco-Tempo Solid Body Electric Guitar 1960's Fiesta Red

A fairly nice, but a bit of an "Ugly Duckling" 1960's era Teisco/Tempo solid body electric guitar with two pickups and a Protec padded case offered for sale here.
The guitar is in overall good condition with normal wear and scratches to the body, as seen in certain photos there are some scratches on the edges (the flash from the digital camera sometimes brings out marks that are not visible to the naked eye especially in chrome parts and pickguards) but the guitar is in pretty nice condition for its age. The chrome plating on the Tailpiece/Whammy Bar, pickups, and bridge have very light wear and very faint tarnish and are in great condition for their age, and the whammy works well as heard in the video.
When I bought the guitar last year I attempted to adjust the neck tension with the truss rod and the fretboard lifted slightly from the neck for about 4 inches at the nut. I reglued and clamped said portion of the neck (something of an "Ugly Duckling" job on my part, as I used StewMac this Super Glue and there was a bit of leakage when I clamped, and there is some dried residue on the seam and parts of the neck, but it plays fine) and it has been solid and stable since last September. I would strongly recommend that the buyer refrain from ever using the truss rod. The string height at the low E string is 5/32 inches and the string height at the high E string is 5/32 inches. The tuners work and hold tuning well.
The bridge pickup is the "Gold Foil" style pickup that came on the guitar, the neck pickup is a Kawai pickup I had and put in place, as the neck pickup that came on the guitar did not work. I had to remove a small corner portion of the pickguard near the neck pickup to facilitate its installation as seen in the photo of said area.
The two rocker switches work but the pickups are always on, you can't turn them off.
In spite of the above described cosmetic warts and the slight electronic issues, as heard on the You Tube video, this is a great sounding guitar, these pickups have great output and tone. This particular guitar plays more comfortably for me as a slide guitar, but if you choose to use it in standard tuning it should not be a problem.
The current Protec padded case is in overall good condition, the zipper can be a bit sticky at times.
I have priced this guitar and case commensurate with the issues I have described.
