National T-1 Tricone Resonator Getman Silver

National are a guitar maker that specialise in manufacturing resophonic guitars. These guitars are revered for their very unique tone and the projection which is produced by the resonators. The concept of a resonator was to produce a guitar that had internal acoustic amplification, which National pioneered in 1927 with the inclusion of three resonators, hence Tri-cone.

This model brings a modern twist to an iconic style with a slimmer neck profile, 19 fret Ebony fingerboard with a cutaway on the 14th fret. This model is produced using the premium German steel to give a slightly more mellow tone.

The guitar has a Highlander Magnophonic pickup installed which amplifies the guitar, it is designed for tri-cone resonator and is recommended by National. The pickup HAS NOT been fully tested as we do not have the external power supply to test. The pickup does work with a mono cable into an amp but is extremely low output as this is not how it is supposed to be played. If you are wanting to amplify this guitar then you will need either the external power supply or a different pickup installing.
