Gibson Quick-connect Connectors for humbucker Pickups.  Brand New  Condition -

***PLEASE tell me your pickup brand and type at time of order so I can assemble for you - this way all you have to do is solder wire by wire. color by color********* (If not - shipped as kit)

Note due to high shipping cost from Europe we have had to raise the S/H. We ship either UPS (fast - about 4 days -$50) or postal service (around 10-14 days - $25) Contact us for options. No additional charge for additional items as long as the package is under 4 lbs.

Better than Gibson Specification - upgraded product spec:
- Wire specification improvement, 10% more copper area than Gibson Original. Improves mechanical sturdiness. Just basically a way better set of wires. - GND wire connection color changed to black. Just solder the bare wire to your PU cable shield for superb Grounding - Length of cable increased to 15 +/-1 cm (~6 inches give or take). Plenty of length.
If you prefer I can Code the connectors for you (i.e. insert the terminals in the correct order). All I need to know is which brand of Pick-ups you are installing. Please leave a Note with your order, and I will get you hooked up ;o). Otherwise the adapters will be delivered for you to assemble in the order you prefer. Please see pictures showing both "un-assembled" and "assembled - example" options - your choice.
Also note New updated instructions sheet with coding for all major brand pickups listed. Super easy to follow - no guess work.

Made in California USA, Quality connectors. Reliable high Quality.
Description:
For your consideration are 2 (1 set) quick-connect connectors with a full set of ready crimped wires that you would use to create a solderless connection on your replacement pickups for your Gibson guitar. If you need more than one pair. just select from the drop down menu. Pick-up setup is 5 wires (4 coil leads and GND) - this KIT will do the trick.
Exceptional crimp quality, each connector will sustain in excess of 3 lbs pull force per wire for a total of 15+ lbs (always pull by the connector housing though) - I typically see in the order of 4-5 lbs when doing QA testing on them. They are tiny but SUPER strong. NOTE - these connectors are not soldered at the terminal. Doing so would seriously weaken the wire. Other connectors available that have been soldered "to reinforce the connection" will wick solder into the wire, become rigid and BREAK when handled - it is a huge design mistake to make. I have had several customers reporting this from other available (soldered) products, who came to me for to get this quality product instead.
Typically you want to get rid of the stock pickups and replace them with - say Seymor Duncans or other quality pickups. Replacement pickups typically do not come with connectors, but are left with stripped wires for the end user to connect to his/her setup. With these connectors you can connect directly to the stock connector on the PCB in the guitar, making perfect connections. This way you can still swap out the pickups if you want to try out different combinations of pickups.

These connectors will fit other Gibson guitars using the 5 pin connector type found on the newer models like the Les Paul and SG type. Please do your own research to verify compatibility. If in doubt you are welcome to contact me and I will do my best to advise you.

Before you order - Important!
Make sure you order the correct item. Gibson Quick-Connectors come in 2-pin, 3-pin and 5-pin versions and obviously they are NOT interchangeable. The way to find out is to remove the cover on the back of your guitar and check against the pictures posted in this listing. Save yourself some grief... I have all versions in stock, so make sure to order correctly. When in doubt: ask me first, I'm happy to guide you.
Included is:
Pre-Crimped terminals with wires for KIT
  • 2 Female plastic connectors
  • 2 Male connectors (Insurance policy) you will not need them, but they are supplied in case you damage the existing connectors on the PCB.
