Bourgeois L-DBO/N Natural Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce and Sinker Mahogany NEW

The L-DBO is an iconic guitar, reminiscent of the very popular L-0 and L-00 sized guitars of the early to mid 20th century, but with some contemporary upgrades. The comfortable smaller body and short scale make this a favorite with fingerstyle and blues players, folkies or really just about anyone.

As part of the Bourgeois 2019 IBMA Collection, This custom L-DBO/N Natural was built to showcase all that this model is. Built with an Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack Spruce for the top and braces, and the back and sides are made from old growth Belizean Sinker Mahogany. Sinker Mahogany is centuries old river salvaged old growth Sinker Mahogany, a rare wood that was encapsulated in the bottom of a central American river since originally cut down in the 1800’s. This old wood ages over the centuries, curing and aging, and now dried and made into a guitar, sounds the way only old wood can. Warm, clear and balanced in your hands.

Other vintage inspired specs include Animal Protein (AP) glue construction, Ziricote fretboard and straight bridge, Ivoroid bindings and more. The comfortable 1 23/32″ nut width and 2.2″ saddle spacing along with the 25″ short scale aid in ease of playing, making the L-DBO/N perfect for hours of playing on stage, studio or your living room sofa.
