SSL 6000 E Series console from legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios with new $5,000 Atomic power supply built by Norman Druce and full studio computer as well as original power supply.  This console was used for recording and mixing some of the most famous artists in the world...BBC Maida Vale is where all global superstars record live sessions for broadcast across the UK on the country's main radio station! Nirvana went through this very desk for their sessions! Producer/Engineer Jon Kelly (Paul McCartney, Tori Amos, Freddie Mercury, Westlife, Kate Bush, Duffy) is then documented as being the man behind this desk prior to it making its way to Chapel Studios and then to us where it has been used by producer James Curtis-Thomas to record and mix many national acts here in the UK...most notably Piston (now on tour with The Cult) and Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics.

There is not a cleaner, better maintained desk of its kind available in the world with this kind of pedigree! This desk is very clean and has not been cut down or Frankensteined from other desks. All VU meters work. 24 channels of black face EQ, 8 channels brown face EQ. Massive amounts of service history and documentation as you can see from the picture of the binder. It also comes with an original SSL power supply, original computer, computer power supply and 40 recall cards. We have not used the original computer recall system, as our engineer prefers a modern hybrid automation setup. This 32 channel desk is the perfect size and rare to find built from the factory in this format and not cannibalized from other desks.

We have it plugged straight into a UPC...when the power cuts, you can use this desk normally for another hour! The inventor & head of the company Norman Druce passed away this month, so these rare units built by him are going to be in large demand. Comes with extra 48 volt Phantom Power supply.
