Gibson SG Special 1961, all original, amazing P90's!

Ok, now here's a rare bird... first year, 1961 SG Special in players condition. This model is the coolest Special, period. It sports the old-school Les Paul 50's wraparound bridge.

The neck joint has been repaired long ago by some sort of caveman who took great care of resetting the neck correctly :) The original lacquer is still there, no refin here. 

Neck angle is great and neck is solid as ever.

Everything is original on it, down to the screws. Tuners keep tune, pots are scratch-free, action is real low without buzz and there's room to go lower still. Would need a new nut eventually, string spacing at the nut is a little off. The back of the neck is partially worn to the wood. The patina is amazing all around.

The original P90's scream 60's cool, they growl, they bite and have that smokey vibe when toned down...pure bliss!

All and all, a great player at a player's price. Don't let this one go...
