This active mid boost circuit, complete with volume pot, master tone pot, and mid boost pot, mounts to a standard Stratocaster pickguard to allow a huge 20dB mid boost. The cool thing about this setup is that the 9v battery can be stored either under the pickguard, or in the tremolo spring compartment.
Here's what Cornell's website has to say about it:
"The Cornell-Classic Plus Active Circuit offers 20 db of gain at the mid frequencies range of your guitar.
A high quality active circuit specifically designed for the Stratocaster-type shape, with low noise, reliability and a tone to enhance the sound of your guitar. It is complete with controls and jack socket to make it simple to fit and exciting to own.
The more the mid-boost control is increased, the greater the gain at the lower middle frequency range, producing a thick, rich blues rock sound."
