Genalex Gold Lion KT77 Quad

Cleaning out the workshop!

I came into these when I bought a boutique amp and they were already installed.  They sounded good, but I've long personally preferred the middy EL34 sound and quickly swapped them out.  To me, KT77's are kind of like a 6L6GC and an EL34/6CA7 had a baby, which can be a good thing in some circuits, but I just have to have my Marshalls with EL34's and Fenders with 6L6's.  Call me an old timer I guess.

They've sat quietly in my workshop ever since.  Evidently, these are some of the best modern production KT77's you can get.  I have not tested these on any sophisticated equipment, or actually any equipment outside of a guitar amp, which is far from sophisticated.  But, they definitely sounded strong when briefly cranked up, and they also appear strong with the lettering on both the glass and bases very well intact.  If anything, the bases' letterings are only slightly marked by the tube retainers which is expected.
