Well, this one is a mystery to me. Appears to be a mid 1930s L-30. It is 14 and 3/4 at the bout. The serial number is 27xxx-7 with the 5 digits being stamped in the body followed by -7 in red ink. Have never seen this pickup on a Gibson so I do not think it is stock however the work is so good it is a mystery. The knobs are clearly old Gibson brown arrow knobs like found on old lap steels. The input jack is on the shoulder and looks stock. The pick guard looks stock and cut for the pickup. I bought this from an 82 year old guy who swore his Dad bought it for him on his 8th birthday and he never played it let alone modified it. Old Gibson ledgers do show one off instruments designated as Special 3, 5 and 7 models. Possibly the -7?

Again, I am not saying this is original but it sure is cool and almost in museum quality condition. If anyone has any knowledge or theories on this guitar I would welcome any insight.
