Great speaker cabinet, specifically voiced to work with the Vox 15 Watt Night Train head, but it works well with any of the low to mid wattage (up to 25 watt) heads out there because it is well built and has a nice Celestion G12M Greenback speaker.
I got this along with a head, I didn't need it, but it was a great deal. . . I've been tempted to keep it anyways, because an extra quality cab/speaker is always nice, but the itch for some new gear is calling and the rule is for new gear to come in, something else has to go. Also I'm open to reasonable offers.
I got it used, but it was in great shape when I got it, and its been sitting in a smoke free home since I bought it. There's 2 or 3 nicks in the tolex covering but only really 1 that is noticeable (on the upper right of the front - you should be able to find it in the picture) but none of them detract from the playability, and to be honest, you have to go hunting to find them.
The speaker is broken in and sounds great.
Here's the details from the product on GuitarCenter.com (where its no longer for sale):
Overview:
Vox released the Night Train V112NT Guitar Speaker Cabinet to complement the Vox Night Train amp head, both cosmetically and tonally. A specially voiced 1 x 12 speaker cabinet, the compact Vox V112NT weights in at just 24.2lbs, yet the full-sounding speaker cab boasts a Custom Vox Celestion Greenback Speaker.
The G12M Greenback speaker evolved over the decades but still retains its essential, sought-after tone. It exhibits all the classic G12M characteristics but is voiced with additional broad mid-range attack and restrained top-end to give a forward, punchy attitude to chords and a searing lead tone without fizz. With its well-controlled low-end, the Celestion G12M is an ideal speaker to bring drive and definition to modern high-gain amps.
Add your hot sound to a late night demo; sit in at your favorite club; jam with friends; cut tracks across town--or do it all in a single day. The Vox Night Train V112NT Speaker Cabinet is your new best friend. Whenever and wherever, Night Train is ready to deliver that smooth and satisfying all-Vox sound.
