Fender "The Strat" 1980

Fender introduced “The Strat” in 1980 after scrutiny in the industry for cutting corners in their factory to meet demand. The Strat featured a durable and modern design featuring an extra hot “X-1” bridge pickup, more elaborate circuitry with nine tone settings, a heavy brass bridge and gold plated hardware, a smaller headstock and a pre-CBS stlye four screw neck attatchment. Weighing in at 10.4 lbs with a nut width of 1-5/8”, The Strat is a serious guitar. This one comes to us in good condition with some finish checking and light road wear. The hardware has aged nicely with some light pitting in the metals. The neck is true with consistent intonation and the fingerboard is lively. Comes with the original hardshell case.
