I just fired up the board and spent a few hours going over the basic functions and I am happy to see that all 40 channels are functional and the board is pretty solid.

Don't sleep on this opportunity as these are not coming by too often these days, especially the smaller 40 channels frame.

I am getting a lot of messages from interested parties and it looks like it's going to be sold soon.
 
This is one of the most desirable SSL consoles from the '80s and has recorded many hit records over the years.  

The black eq is the preferred eq by many.

The automation computer is upgraded with 3 1/2" floppy drives.

Also, I converted many of the light bulbs to led's.

Patchbay and producer's desk located on the left side of the console.

Fitted with VU meters, which are more accurate than plasma meters and basically maintenance free.

I've owned this console for 10 years and had all channel strips and center section recapped a couple of years ago. 

I replaced many switches over the years with alps, which is more reliable but there are still switches that may need to be cleaned or replaced.

Everything else works and the console is currently set up in my studio for inspections/tests by interested parties.

The console length is 102" (A very nice size that will fit most rooms)

The console is located in SoHo, NYC and can be removed in one piece with dollies via elevator as the elevator is 10ft long. 

There's no need to decommission the console, but I would recommend removing the channel strips during the move in order to make it easier on the moving people.

Original books and extender cards included.
