Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at an early 1st generation 1940's era Turner dynamic 9D dynamic microphone with an all metal body and satin chrome finish. The riveted Turner badge shows it's early age and it comes with the older Belden (model 8401) 8 foot cable shown.

This 9D was set at High impedance which made it ideal for general broadcasting purposes and it should be noted that this microphone is in great working condition with the original element is still inside. It could still be used for display or prop purposes even if you don't want to use it.

The original black cloth is free on any fading, rips or holes. The On / Off switch slides smoothly and works flawlessly. This was a good "general purpose mic" back in the day but would actually make a great harp mic if you use a harmonica due to it's distinct sound. The satin chrome on this mic looks decent but shows a lot of small pitting and a few tiny scratches. This mic will screw on to any American desk or floor stand as well with it's universal mic stand threading.

 I would give a this mic a very conservative 6 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

The mic is solid inside and out. The cable is in excellent condition. Soft, pliable and has the standard male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most modern audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.

The original (hard to find) Turner 9D box is included. It does show a bit of wear but is a nice accessory to have as you just rarely ever see these around these days.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

And as with all my items...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and item relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
