Built for guys with big working hands... has 40mm from E to E at the nut (nut is 48mm) end and and 62,5mm E to E at the bridge. Has a super light string action all along the neck, with especial attention to the first few frets, so your basic chords are finger-light to play... no sore finger tips or cramp in the palm of your hand!
It has two pickups and I left the humbucker at the bridge just as it is to give you metal styled compressed Gibson tones; the neck humbucker still looks pretty much as it did; now though one half is isolated and the full flux flows through one single coil of it making it sound like a vintage strat... so flick one way for Gibson and the other way for Fender.
The TOM bridge and through-body stringing gives perfect stability for tunability and sustain; and the Trev Wilkinson neck is so beautifully slim you might think you are playing an Ibanez wizard 2 neck... this slimness in depth makes the neck in your hand feel even wider than it really is.
(Earlier in the condition description I mentioned I had completed the first stage of the set up... well this morning while playing it I found the fifth fretwire was raised on the D and G strings so I have settled it down; also for the A string on the thirteenth fret. Now all seated nicely and ringing clear)
These are still the only full wide neck and bridge guitars sold in the world as far as I can find... Big Lou in the states makes nice wide nut guitars but the necks taper to a small body and standard bridge and pickups. So for either big working hands, or largish fumbling beginner's fingers, this is the best chance of getting on!
