This is a 2011 Regius 6 Gothic Custom Shop with a
mahogany body and Joe Barden TwoTone pickups. A gorgeous guitar that has been
in very little use over the last few years. It has not seen the play it
deserves as it is a magnificient guitar. The reason for the low use is that our
band quickly drifted to using 7-string guitars after the release of our first
album so it is finally time to let this one go. I'm the original owner of the
guitar. Serial number blurred to prevent fake copies.
The guitar has some very minor wear. I have tried to capture everything I
could find in the photos.
- There is some wear on the top's finish
below the humbuckers due to the style I play, resting my fingers there. It
shows only if the light hits it in the right angle. A common issue
with matt finish guitars.
- There is a very small scratch on the back
of the guitar.
- Very small dents on the back, you have to
really look to find them.
- A tiny tiny dent in the binding, even hard
to find in the close-up photo I posted.
That's honestly all I could find really looking
closely for any blemishes.
The frets are in very good condition (photos)
and the guitar was just professionally set up with intonation set to drop D
tuning. Strings D'addario 11-49 set, just changed.
The pickups have been upgraded to Joe Barden HB TwoTone pickups, which is a
hand wound high end pickup made in the US (look it up!). It's spesifically
designed to have both the great sound of a full humbucker and a sparkling
single coil. There is no switching noise nor hum in either mode. It's a great pickup
that is very articulate and very responsive to your playing. I have used it for
heavier stuff and would argue that it definately has enough output for
rock/metal as well. There is a dedicated switch for the neck pickup and a
push-pull on the volume knob for the bridge pickup, so you really have a lot of
different sounds available combining both pickups in humbucker or single coil
mode.
I have made a short sample track just to give an idea on sound of the
pickups. Naturally your results may vary depending on equipment, etc. Distorted
tone with humbucking BRIDGE, cleans with single coil NECK, the riff following
the clean part is single coil BRIDGE, ending with humbucking BRIDGE. No
mixing/editing.
