Fender Jaguars for Sale on Reverb

The Jaguar was introduced by Fender in 1962 as another high-end offset model in the vein of the Jazzmaster. Like the Jazzmaster, the Jaguar featured a floating tremolo system and also integrated a unique dual rhythm/lead design, but the Jag uniquely offered on/off switches for the front and back pickups as well as a bass-cut switch that adds an extra capacitor to the signal. The Jaguar wasn't an immediate hit but later found favor with rockers who were able to get them on the cheap, like Kurt Cobain and Johnny Marr, both of whom have since had signature Jaguars created for them.

Fender has made many affordable models of Jaguars in recent years. They include the traditionally minded Classic Player Jaguar Special, the double-humbucker Classic Player Jaguar Special HH, the single- and double-pickup Player Jaguar HS, and the "modified" vintage spec of the Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH. American-made models include the American Professional Jaguar, though it doesn't offer the original pickup selection options. Some of our favorites are the '62 and '65 American Vintage Reissue Jaguars, which offer great value for the price on the used market and are as close to original spec as you can get.
