PRS Singlecut – Pre-Lawsuit – 2003 – Vintage Yellow – Flame Top
A lovely 2003 PRS Singlecut, built during the early production years before the well-known Gibson lawsuit period. These early Singlecuts have developed a strong following thanks to their combination of classic single-cut authority and unmistakable PRS precision.
This example features a beautifully figured flame maple top finished in Vintage Yellow, with plenty of depth and movement in the maple. The look is classic PRS: paua shell dot inlays, nickel hardware, and the elegant simplicity that makes these early models so appealing. The guitar weighs 4.3 kg, giving it a solid, resonant feel with excellent sustain.
Condition is very good. There are a few small cosmetic nicks on the back, but nothing significant. The top, neck and overall presentation remain very clean.
It is fitted with the PRS #7 humbuckers, known for their warm, articulate character with plenty of punch and clarity. The PRS wraparound stoptail bridge keeps the design simple and highly resonant.
