About this listing
I am offering an Ibanez PGM900 from 1997, the very first production year of this rare Paul Gilbert signature model. Built in Japan and produced only between 1997–1999, the PGM900 is one of the most collectible PGM instruments ever made – and the only one based on the Talman body shape rather than the RG platform. This design was created specifically at Paul Gilbert’s request, giving him a more “classic” aesthetic while keeping the iconic painted F-holes. The guitar is fully original: mahogany body, one-piece maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, gold hardware and a factory set of Ibanez Super 58 humbuckers – the same pickups used in Ibanez’s high-end semi-hollow models. The sound is warm, articulate and incredibly responsive. It’s a unique blend of Talman character and PGM attitude.Specs• Model: Ibanez PGM900 • Year: 1997 • Made in Japan • Finish: Transparent Red • Body: Mahogany • Neck: 1-piece maple (AANJ) • Fingerboard: Rosewood • Frets: 22 medium • Bridge: Gotoh GTC101 • Hardware: Gold • Pickups: Ibanez Super 58 (neck + bridge) • Controls: Master volume, 5-way pickup selectorConditionVery good condition for a 1997 instrument.
